  • Prescreening Advice/Request

    Does this count as obstruction of the subject and/or blurry background? Any other advice would also be greatly appreciated!

    Also, are the histograms meant to stay below the blue/red lines on the histogram preview?

    Yes, multiple problems with this image: obstruction, soft, centering, overprocessed, dark, etc..

      I understand everything except overprocessed. What do you mean by that? I haven't done anything to the image besides removing some dust spots.

              Is the "dark" from the dark undercarriage or the image in general? Is the "overprocessed" from the halo between the blue part of the tail and the sky?

                Besides the blurry background, comments on color correction / processing please.

                Thank you in advance.

                  Dark = whole image
                  Overprocessed = editing halos

                    Does anyone know any filter / adjustment settings I can apply within lighroom or photoshop in order to spot halos like the "check for dust" preview does when submitting images on JP?

                    Thanks in advance.

                      In PS: equalize.

                      Not sure with LR, but probably has a similar function.

                          Soft, contrast, and those crops are too tight.

                            Increased the sharpening and contrast, are these any good?

                            Which part of the image specifically contributed to bad contrast?

                            Thanks

                              Very soft and the contrast still poor. Not sure these are fixable.
