I'd like to get these two photos prescreened. And for the BA A380, would I have to categorise it as a night shot? (It was taken in early morning).

Hi, Not a screener but I don't think either of these ones have the quality for 1920px as they are very soft. The A380 is dark and maybe a bit blurry too, but yes select night shot.

1. soft, dark/harsh contrast
2. soft/blurry, dark

Would using the "Sharpening" tool in lightroom be a good way to try sharpen the images or would that not be possible?

You could try, but if the images are not really sharp to start with it might be in vain.
