Based on my personal observation and feedback from other contributors I know, some of the screeners appear to be highly dependent on histograms for contrast rejections while others are more lenient. This has led to a number of rejections considered as "lack of dark tones" for photos whose shadows I. account for a small portion of the frame or II. do not have a clear definition from the brighter parts. Some examples:

While the contrast for the second photo is significantly increased the "dark tone" on the histogram is still considered as insufficient. Due to the limit of attachments per post, I will continue below.
