Hi, the images are suffering from the following issues:

1. dark, compression
2-3. soft, compression, dirty
4. compression, dirty

My workflow starts with Lightroom, I save the image in TIFF. and then I move to GIMP to resize and give it a slight contrast mask.
Could this move be the reason for the compression and soft problems?

Maybe. Maybe not. Far too many variable involved for me to guess.

Compared with the initial 4 photos, is there an improvement in sharpness?

By equalizing the photo can you tell if it was compressed well?

Only one of the images appears in both posts, but it does appear slightly better.

This image is oversharpened/compressed and has poor dust spot removal below the tail. Will not comment on this one again.

2-3. dirty, borderline harsh contrast
