First shot lacks some contrast, both shot are a bit soft and need an extra kick of usm (unsharp mask), but they also show some noise, which gets worse when you sharpen them, so you need to be careful.

The following two pics are actually the same picture cropped differently - I was just wondering if anyone has any advice as to which is best for upload. Any other constructive criticism is most welcome.
Here is a link to the original - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3392/...f147d627_o.jpg
I really appreciate any suggestions that can be offered.
Gareth.
The image is high in contrast, it makes the tail engines two large black circles which I personally find rather distracting (they look like black holes). I would advice to try and reduce some contrast (only a bit, be careful otherwise you lack contrast). And I would go for the second cut, since the black holes of the engines are less prominent in that one

Hello and may I request opinions on these photos.
VT-WAI
VT-INB
VT-WAE (tried to get a silhouette with both plane and sun overhead)
Got it with this one (see the sun burning through the left wing slats) VT-ESK
Tried a night shot. 9V-SYL. Tried the regular JID workflow, but not sure how well it worked.
Feel this is the best of the bunch VT-VJK.
Thanks in advance

#1: Aircraft lacks contrast and is dark, mostly due to the position of the sun. Also, the photo has a light purple tint.
#2: Weird cropping, with too much aicraft for a close up, yet a partly chopped off wheel. Would have worked from another angle
#3 and 4: again, lacking contrast, as the sun was shining on the other side of the aircraft
#5: soft or out of focus and overexposed, also very cluttered.
#6: while also lacking contrast, this one may have a chance.
