  • Hi y'all,
I'm wondering about this photo. It's very special to me and I really want to fix it up best way I can.

    Which catergories am I missing?
And what will I use in this shot, to make this level?
Exposure..I'll figure that on my own I guess.

    Cheers,
    -Phil

    • I got a categories wrong/missing rejection on this one:

Should I have ticked special scheme?

      Thanks,
      Charles

      • Charles, this one needs indeed the Special Scheme category.

          • Pleased support me to level this pix. It's seem lean to the right and need CCW but I don't know how to fix it as I have leveled it by the pole in the center.
Thanks and happy new year to all Screeners

            • Need help with rejects

              Hi JP team,

I have a few rejections for which I would like to clarify the reasons.

              1.

I can correct the "Bad info: Aircraft" as it is a G IV(SP). But not sure why the picture has been rejected for horizon unlevel. I have used the light pole as the reference to this shot. Do I need to use any other reference to level the shot?

              2.

I am aware that this is a leased bird from AtlasJet. But I could not figure it out in the airline drop down menu. Hence the reason for giving it as "Saudi Arabian Airlines". What do you suggest me to add in the "Airline" field?

              3.

Again the problem with the "Bad info: Airline". Need help on the airline details.

              4.

The ramp at the airport is inclined. So I used the light pole as the reference to level the shot. Is this correct?

              5.

Same as the previous reject for "Horizon unlevel". used the light pole as reference.

              6.

I found this strange. This picture was rejected for "Similar photo uploaded". Yes, I have a similar shot of the same aircraft on a different date (11 August 2010: http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6941578). Can't I upload a similar shot of the same aircraft on different dates? I have quite a few rejections on this front as below:

              http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3268086 - Similar shot on November 23 2010

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3268994 - Similar shot of the full aircraft on November 23, 2010

It would be greatly helpful if I can have my questions answered so that I will not commit the same error while uploading my forthcoming shots.

              Thanks,
              Sriram Hariharan

              • Similar means, that you have a similar photo already in the db. Similar refers to same registration, same angle/composition or same background, even if taken at different dates. Imagine, if we would accept the same shot taken by the same photog of the same aircraft every single date ....

Thanks for the clarification, LX-A343. I do understand!

                  • Good day!
I have two rejects that makes me quiet confused:
                    1. http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3271274

Maybe this pic is blurry (but I don't think so), but this is not my question. In which side should I rotate this pic to get well leveled picture? I'm looking at the lines: sides of building and chimneys and they are look vertically.

                    2. http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3271229

I know, that rejection for undersharpen or oversharpen are usually obvious, but there I'm not sure that is a lack of sharpen.

                    Please for opinion!

                    Greetings,
                    Kornel

                    • Hello
                      This photo reject:
                      http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3274968
The level of the horizon is totally OK although the aircraft is looking not leveled
                      Photo in appeal queue.

                      Siegi.

                        Hiya Kornel,
The first photo looks to me like it needs CCW rotation as the verticles are leaning to the left.

I think the blurr is occuring around the front and rear of the aircraft.

As for your second photo I'm not entirely sure, but I think the tail area looks rather soft. Try using a slection mask to selectively sharpen the area.

                        Hope that helps.
                        Ryan

                          1. To me the horizon looks OK. The lamp post is level ±0.1° as is the visible horizon.

                          2. As you haven't included the registration I have no idea. What did the photographers uploading it immediately before you give?

                          3. airframes is helpful here. I have no idea what you entered, but "untitled" only used on "the other site". I would either use "private" or submit for "GMR Aviation" to be added to the airline menu!

                          4. & 5. If you used the lamp posts as reference you didn't do a very good job:
                          (the red lines are vertical)

                          6. Already been answered!
