Don't really think so. I would guess because you've got it at 1024 the quality isn't really there on the full-size.

Okay, it just shows off more of the city but I can understand your point. Is this marginally better? I don't want to end up over-sharpening it. Thank you!

Image is soft, and I don't see the background justifying a wider crop.

1024 maybe, but can't say for sure without seeing it. Generally, unlike softness, blurriness is difficult to hide at any resolution.
