  • Dallas Presser - Editing Advice

    Hi
Lately I’ve received quite a few rejections for the reason “Too much or too little contrast”. Because the screeners are very busy people, I can’t ask for any elaboration. Could someone help?
    An example rejection is https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7333191

    And another contrast problem- https://www.jetphotos.com/viewreject_b.php?id=7325262
(Not sure why it’s not level - runway edge seems horizontal)

    1. What was the problem- too much OR too little? (Could it be both?) Am I correct in guessing too little?
    2. If too little, does that mean at the darker end of the shade range?
    3. If so, how should I best fix it in Lightroom?
    kind Regards Dallas Presser

Sometimes (Im not saying this is the case) a Overcast of a sky will destory contrast but I would say its to little contrast

I recall seeing that around 95% of contrast rejections were for too little contrast.
See those gaps in either end of the histogram on the first example you posted? Those gaps indicate lack of contrast

Contrast is too weak in both images. The second might be fixable with editing (more contrast), the second perhaps not due to the overcast conditions.
