I know that the lengthwise layout is subject to changed but generally the ACROSS layout is different. 777s on the vast majority of airlines have a 9-abreast economy and 7-abreast business. The A340 has an 8-abreats economy and a 6-abreast business. I know it has a smaller fuselage, but the way the seats are arranged ACROSS are much better in my view. Everyone knows there is no middle seat in business class or any seat in ecoonomy more than 1 seat from an aisle.

    Example

    777
    Business/Economy

    11-111-11/111-111-111 or 11-11111-11

    A340
    Business/Economy

    11-11-11/11-1111-11

Hardly Will. Northwest doesn't operate many DC-10s at all compared to what it used to operate, and they are dwindling.
