Six of Brazil's largest carriers, including Tam and Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes, agreed on the measures at a meeting in Brasilia today, according to a statement on the agency's website. Besides overbooking -- selling more seats than an aircraft's actual capacity -- the measures stipulate a minimum number of reserve aircraft for airlines to maintain, and service measures such as staffing all check-in desks during rush hours, according to the statement.
