The wings are removed, the aircraft is trucked to its site, reassembled, and converted into a home, bar, or diner. Many years ago there was a Lockheed Constellation used as a bar above a restaurant on Route 1 in Langholme, PA.
You have to check zoning with your local governments and make sure they will allow it and then arrange with a moving company (companies that move buildings can move planes).
Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man. Landing is first.
.... but, how is administrative-work done? (routes need temporary closure,....etc?!)
Instead of a bunch of goof balls on an internet forum, none of whom live in an airplane house, you might check with, I dunno....maybe the Luxembourg city council, highway department and airport authority?
Les rčgles de l'aviation de base découragent de longues périodes de dur tirer vers le haut.
1. You find a suitable site.
2. You get planning permission.
3. You appeal the subsequent planning refusal !
4. You eventually ACTUALLY get planning permission. ( it does happen ! )
5. You source a suitable aircraft.
6. You contract a specialist salvage and removal company who will deal with all wing removal, permissions and paperwork.
7. You buy a shotgun.
8. Using the shotgun, you rob a VERY large bank to pay for it all. Because you still have to finance connection to utilities, furniture and interior design etc.
And....
9. Assuming you get away with all that you invite me to dinner by way of payment for this advice !
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
Apart from the usual living areas, bedrooms, kitchen etc. I'm visualising an indoor pool, personal cinema, maybe a couple of pitch and putt golf holes, FlightSim games room utilising the cockpit.....
.....aaaaaaah, I can but dream

Indeed... I wonder who would shoot me down first--the homeonwers' association or my wife? Don't answer that...I already know. She just doesn't appreciate the finer things in life. It would be kind of fun to bring up at the next HOA meeting though just to see what the reaction would be...

The restaurant was an area attraction, "Flannery's", in Langhorne PA. I had lunch there once. It was taken down in 1992 when the place was sold to Amoco. Great old Connie.
If you Youtube .... The Penndel Airplane ... there is a nice but rough video.
Amoco donated the plane and it now sports Air Force markings and is at the Dover AFB Museum in Delaware.
Since we're talking about restaurants, if you're ever in Colorado Springs, check out Solo's next to the Radisson hotel by the airport--it's a KC-97. The cockpit is accessible but the boom-operator pod is not.

Reason: Original post sounded too much like an advertisement, which was not my intention.
