Same old story

Nothing new here, just going over some old notes.

One of the early articles published on BBC:

"According to preliminary reports, it got caught up in the tops of trees, fell to the ground and broke up into pieces," he said. "There are no survivors in that crash."

"I saw through the fog, the aeroplane flying very low with the left wing pointing to the ground," he said.
"I heard something being broken and then that thudding sound. Two flashes of fire next to each other."

I keep thinking about that early account. Why did the witness describe left wing pointing to the ground and not simply the plane tilted (with right wing pointing to the sky)?

Ummmm, perhaps because it was not the right wing pointing to the ground and left pointing at the sky. Makes perfect sense to me.

Imagine if that kid witness (I assume the one walking his dog), was a geometry freak, what his description of the angles would have been. Or perhaps an astro-physicist and what they would describe?

The prosecutors in Poland just announced that they will need to go to Smolensk next week to get samples from the plane seats to check for explosives. Besides the incredible fact that it is over 3 years now from the date of the crash, there is also evidence that such samples were already collected last year in September during the previous Smolensk trip. The attached printouts show presence of RDX/HMX, NITRO, and p-MNT. Samples collected on 9/22/12.

Prosecutors?

Barring any telltale evidence of an actual explosion (outward distortion of wreckage, pitting, hot gas washing, etc.-- see TWA 800 investigation) all they can prove is that at some time in the aircraft's history there was an explosive material on board (not surprising for a military transport). If an explosion occurred, these telltale signs tell the tale. Why aren't they commenting on that aspect?

Besides the fact that it is real, of course, and we are mainly dealing here with the aviation aspect of it, it has all the makings of the greatest political/murder/spy thriller ever written. We have a political intrigue, assassination, espionage, intelligence services game, disinformation agents, black mail, deception, true and fake investigations, coup d'état, a potential international conflict, etc.
