Yep, our own Chasen Richardson (crunk415balla) logged his first little bit of Pilot In Command time today. If the fact that me AND him can be in control of planes doesn't scare you, I don't know what will.
Congrats dude!
Thanks guys. It was like losing my virginity all over again. Either Jordan's Mother was bad or my landings were great.
Soloed at Tracy(KTCY) and it was 95*. Did 4 landings to a full stop. I gotta say, theres no feeling quite like it. The Adrenilin is still flowing and its been 5 hours. Gisel got pictures of my landings I'll post later, I thought they sucked but my CFI says they were great, I'll take his word for it. He thinks I'll be a 50 hour private. That being said, I don't want to come off as arrogant, I HONESTLY don't think I'm 50 hour PPL material, hell, I'd be surprised if I got it by NEXT summer , and I think it just has to do with the fact everyone is impressed that I know so much about airplanes since I'm such an aviation nerd, not so much as to how well I preform in the cockpit.
I've got advice for the kiddies dreaming of this moment, GET YOUR DAD GUM MEDICAL! I was ready to solo around 16-18 hours, but I didn't have my medical and it set me back a few weeks. Seeing as I had only logged 10 hours in the past YEAR, I didn't think it was comming, but sure enough it did. So forget anything you've heard about how long it takes you to solo, you might be ready WAY sooner than you think! Get your medical as soon as you start flying! You never know how soon that solo is going to creep up!
