    I field this one Pete:

Jess: Pete and his Father live in New England. And New England are Notorious for their long winters and Harsh Lake Effect Snow. Lake Effect snow is a result of the moisture off the lake comeing east over New England and falling in the form of snow.

With the Lake effect snow being a dominate factor 5-6 months out of the year it is important to have adequate transportation. Especially when you are an ER doctor like Petes father. Snow drifts that would stop any 2 wheel drive vehicle can fall within hours. It is important for Pete's father to be ready to cruise no matter the snow conditions.

Therefore, by living in the climate and bringing home the Check like a doctor does, i can't see a better vehicle out there for Petes Father.

    Go Pete's Dad!

I know its not a 7 seater, but boy does it beat a minivan any day!!!!!

And he drives it why? Does he do a lot of off roading (for which it sucks compared to a proper off roader!). Does he need space (which a minivan is better for). Is it for bad conditions on the roads? (In which case an all-wheel-drive car is far superior). Or is he just a poser?

I don't know what models are sold in the US. In Europe, the most popular are the:

    Renault Espace:

Ford Galaxy / VW Sharan / Seat Alhambra (all basically the same car):

    Toyota Previa:

Don't know which is best, they are all basically vans with extra seats and windows...

I don't even know why I'm entering this conversation but I'll be caught dead before you see me behind the wheel of a mini-van.

That may be so, but at least he can spell and knows which letters he needs to capitalize.

You can say Japanese cars. I don't think anyone will be offended. Hell, they were probably built here anyway. Your real popular driving around Redneck country in them I bet.

    Camry. not camery.

I would have chose the HONDA ODYSSEY!

They are the safest, most reliable, and efficient 7 seaters on the market today! No joke!

Your family has a thing for Japanese cars? :P
