  • Histogram Question?

    This picture https://www.flickr.com/photos/paulbna/53624285964 the histogram is shown. Why are the three spikes there? They are one most of my aviation pictures. How do I use them to get a perfectly exposed picture.

    That's the RGB histogram. It just shows strengths/brightnesses of those respective colors. Pretty much irrelevant for screening.

      Ok Thanks. I have been getting a lot of under exposed rejections. I am just trying to figure how to correct it.

            There should be some guides somewhere here on the forum.
            I would say that it is essential to have a good shot. Then it depends on which software you use for pp.
            My workflow is camera raw and then into photoshp. Exposure correction (if necessary), curve, sharpening and noise reduction (if necessary).
            Then in PS I check tonal values for corrections and dust control. Finally I crop the frame.​
