  • Philipp,

Use the levels function to adjust the contrast. This image shows how. My middle area selection is just to show the difference. It is also soft and somewhat grainy though....

If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

    • Ryan,

I'd certainly go for it. I took the liberty of making a couple of adjustments. See what you think. Modified part is down the middle.

      Exposure....-0.2 EV
      Contrast ....+20
3X passes of USM at 50_0.2_0

      • Peter,

Looks like it's suffering from bad Heat Distortion.

I will make some adjustments and give it a go, thanks Brian

            • That look better? Not entirely sure if I could sharpen it more without making it look weird.
              Best Regards,

Still much too soft I'm afraid.

This one's blurry and therefore a lost cause. One for the personal collection...

                • Does this look better, I cropped the planes a tad higher to show more of the jetwash.

                    • Flyguy,

As said, it's still too soft and it also needs the highlights toning down a bit to bring some detail into them. Use the curves function to reduce the contrast of the highlights.

                      • Ryan,

Personally speaking, that would work for me.

                          • Is the nose too bright and is the power line something that needs to be removed?
