    N934FR

The 'Horizon' is not unlevel. The line where the tarmack ends and the buildings/background start is level. All the vertical lines are vertical. Now, yes, the runway lines look like they run uphill and a horizontal line of a building in the background does too- but that's just the way it is.

As far as the rejection for 'Dark/Underexposed' - that confuses me too. Too dark for what? I think it looks fine. And the 'Similar Upload'? What this - Another view of N934FR?

Well, I'm not really asking for help with this photo 'cause I won't appeal - I do that very rarely even if I disagree. I'll just try to fix what the screener has said and resubmit at a later date. I'm just trying to understand if anybody else has any thoughts about my misunderstandings - thanks.
The rejected image needs some CW rotation, the casinos are leaning to the left, it is slightly dark and could stand the midrange lightening a touch perhaps. The simiar rule is what it is.

Second shot is rejected because you put UNKNOWN in the reg field. This should be left blank.

            • I am having trouble levelling my rejected photo. I tried to level it by using the fence posts in the background. Inparticular, the second post from the right-hand side. However, when I do this, the fence posts on the left hand side look awkard (as does the barrier fence around the aircraft). Could someone please point me in the right direction? http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=1665231

              Cheers Evan

              • Very difficult.....but it is probably your lens to blame.
Is there a slope on the area the chopper is parked?

                • A wide angle shot with the typical barrel distortion should NEVER be leveled by a reference on an edge. Try to level the center of the photo. If this isn't possible, as in your photo, then "make it look level", trust your eyes. At the end, both ends, left and right, should look equally unlevel.

                  • I think there was a small downward slope from right to left Greg. I took the photo at a focal length of 24mm which would explain the barrel distortion.

I will have a go levelling it as you suggested Gerardo. Thank you both for your advice!

                    Cheers, Evan

                    • Thought there may have been a slope....and I would mention that fact in a the " comments to screeners" section with any new upload.
As Gerardo said it will be a difficult one as 2 places that catch your eye are " out of level' in opposite directions.....1deg anti clockwise looked the best on my dabble...but still looked off.........good luck.......you may need it with this one....... or maybe you have another shot that may not give you as much trouble

                      • Thanks again Greg. I only took the one photo unfortunately. I'll take your advice on board and see how I go!

                        • bad composition rejection help

                          Hello there everyone,
I have received rejection because of bad composition. Apart from the dirty CMOS which I will fix what is wrong with the frame?
This is the link to the rejected photo: http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=1669844

and also this is a copy of my unedited and original photo (but with less resolution):

                          Your help is greatly appreciated.

                          Mehdi.

                          • Mehdi,

The plane is too low in the frame. there is way too much dead space above the aircraft.

With respect I would say no. While I see you have tried to capture prop motion the photo has some issues.....overall quality. Was this a large crop. I hope you don't mind me mentioning, but looking at some of your other photos they seem very contrasty/saturated and at times close to over sharpened. There is a hint of a blue cast......manual white balance maybe. Just may be an idea to confirm camera settings first.
