I have a number of scanned photos and after reading the guidelines I wanted to check if they meet the necessary standard. This is one of them.

Would depend on the age/rarity. Without that information, I couldn't really give you a good estimate of your chances.

      • Hi,

I wanted to check whether this image needed to be uploaded as aircraft or airport. If airport, should it be runway view or overview?

In my opinion the photo does not work. Main subject is the aircraft, which is too far away. As for Airport photo, there is no real main subject, looks more like a random snapshot.

            • Hi,

I'm trying to decipher when an aircraft is/isn't cut off after this rejection. The composition is based on lots of other similar images, in particular relating to the wing tip, engine pylon and the cargo door centred.

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

I can see the obvious images that aren't cut off such or are cut off but having seen so many others like this one, I would like to establish what is correct.

              Thanks

The chopped off wing looks too awkward.

                • Thanks. So if it were aft or forward of the wing would it be ok?

Maybe. For a better reply, you better post a new edit here.

For the last one, which registration would you suggest using?

                        Many thanks

                          1. soft, centering. Perhaps if there were something interesting lower in the frame you were trying to include it may be acceptable, but as it is, it's just a cut-off fence.
                          2. soft

                          Visible wing.

                            • Hi,

I'm working on this image taken whilst it was raining. The rain is not obvious unless looked into detail giving some halos. I've seen other uploaded images with plenty of halos but I wanted to see whether these were acceptable.

I'm not screener but it is totally acceptable for me, there are no major halos.
