Other than bad aspect ratio, quality should be ok.

          • Thank you for your help on the images above. Before I upload those, I want to see if I can upload this pic of VH-ZNG as a "hot photo. It seems there are no pics of it on the database right now, as it is a brand new plane.

Also what aspect ratio should I be using for pictures like this?

            Thanks

Yes, new regs. qualify for hot screening. This one will be rejected for contrast, however.

              • Can I just add some more contrast and call it good? Or is this one not salvageable

I highly doubt if you "just add some more contrast and call it good" the results will be acceptable, but as has been mentioned to others, you're under no obligation to follow any of the advice you're given.

                  • Hi

I wanted to upload this as a hot photo, as N840VA is now in the Alaska colors. Could I get a prescreen before I submit?

                    Thanks,
                    Mac

Would be rejected for soft/blurry and possibly contrast.

                      • I tried using a different shot, and sharpened it up a bit. Does it look any better, or still not there?

                          • Would uploading it at a higher res. be helpful. It's currently at 800 x 1200.

That would almost certainly be worse, as higher resolution will make any flaws more apparent.

                              • I was shooting at ISO 640, could this be the cause of the softness?
