  • Not a screener, but 2 & 3 would have problems with contrast and similar, 2 maybe borderline cutoff but probably just cutoff. 1 seems soft.

Can I get some feedback on the below images, especially for softness/contrast?

Regarding image 2, I'm not overly convinced of it getting past contrast but if it does, would it be a motive issue or cutoff ?
      1. centering, soft, vignetting, dirty
      2. obstruction, contrast
      3. contrast

2 & 3 - Thought they might not pass contrast so ta for confirming.

        But 1.....

Can you please explain why it's dirty? Nothing stands out for me nor does the spot removal overlay display anything remotely suspicious on the full image.

Also, vignetting. This image is not the full frame, it's cropped so I don't understand how vignetting has been introduced to the crop. I've had this before with cropped images getting vignetting so any ideas as to why it's appearing?

Vignetting I presume is fixable with lens adjustments/manual changes but the dirty aspect concerns me most as I literally cannot see dirt spots anywhere on the image.

Will re-centre the image and boost sharpness and see if that helps once I know the dirt issue

How did you manage to pull that out? Spot Removal in LRC is clear as a daisy for me Photoshop? If so, do you mind pointing me at a tutorial for the process?

Photoshop - right click on background layer, select duplicate layer, press enter to accept the name, then from the top menu, Image > Adjustment > Equalize and there you go - click on the background layer, use the healing tool to remove the dust spot and then delete the duplicated layer and then carry on with the rest of your processing.

              • Good evening!

Please can I request pre-screening on the below image.

Also some guidance as to whether this would classify as hot, due to being the first visit of this type to the airport? I don't believe it is but thought I'd double check. Click image for larger version

does not count as hot. Image looks a little soft and has contrast issues

                    Dark/contrast. Not hot.

1-2. overexposed/harsh contrast, borderline heat haze
                        3. borderline soft/heat haze

Are 1-2 fixable in your opinion?
3 - whereabouts are you seeing heat haze on this one? Not disagreeing but I missed it in LR so I'd like to know what I missed please

1-2 maybe, but might be difficult
3 livery lines are not straight, especially near tail

Not at all. What do you think the Too Far rejection category refers to?
