  • Adelie Huang - Prescreening Request / Editing Advice

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to make my first submission to Jetphotos. Last time my main rejection reasons were composition and jpg compression artifacts. I've re-edited my photos, but I'm not sure I've done the right thing. That's why I would like to get some feedback from the forum.

    Here are the photos:

Not sure about the first 3, but the helicopter is backlit and will not be accepted, and I'm pretty sure the Lufthansa A350 is too. If I had to guess for the composition rejections, it looks like the fuselage of the planes are not centered vertically, and the crop left to right is too tight.

      Here are the photos:
      1. soft, centering
      2. soft/blurry, overprocessed
      3. centering, heat hazed
      4. soft/heat hazed/blurry, noisy, backlit
      5. heat haze, centering, borderline backlit

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to increase the sharpening amount and reduce the saturation amount. And also chose another two photos to replace the backlit one.

ID:	1167853 I took this photo during the take-off roll. Is that heat haze coming from the aircraft engine itself also not accepted?

Is GSE allowed to show in the image?

        Thanks for your time again.

I think it depends on the screener.
I'm not who you think I am.

          Or perhaps.

            Hi, Not a screener but

            Porter: Soft, Blurry

            AC: Maybe a little noisy

KLM: Heat hazed. Looks like its over the whole aircraft so probably not fixable

4: Blurry, noisy, doesn't look fixable

            AC: Obstruction, contrast.

            Have a good day!

            Tyler

              1-2. soft/blurry, overprocessed
              3. heat hazed/soft. jet wash from engines is not an issue.

Will not comment on those again.

              4. blurry, overprocessed
              5. obstruction, soft, dark/contrast

              Neither are fixable.

                Hello Everyone,

Could someone please tell me if I should keep increasing the contrast? Last time my rejections were "- Dark / Underexposed - Too much or too little contrast". So I tried to edit it again.

I'm looking forward to any advice, thanks for your time.

These all have issues with contrast, color, processing, horizon, centering, and sharpening.

Thanks for the reply. Are they fixable? Did I add too much contrast in the editing software this time?

Third one might be salvageable. Others just have poor light to start with.
