Hi, thanks, how much are we talking about? ,5 steps ish? The dawn and early morning photos, u need them to be lighter also?

To stand a better chance, most need a slight increase in brightness. The last two have issues with poor light/contrast, and I don't think they can necessarily be fixed simply by adding a little more contrast.

Have increased the sharpening a whole lot - does this make it better?

Not really. The softness is being caused by heat haze, something which is not fixable.
