I won't persist with that one. Can I get feedback on this A321?
Looks a bit soft/blurry towards the nose.

A bit better, but not sure the quality is there for 1920pix.

        • Thank you, I'll upload it at 1600px and see how it goes.

Could I get feedback on this (quite similar) image? I underexposed at 2/3 of a stop to see if that helped retain detail in the forward section of the fuselage.

            Dirty, borderline soft.

Still dirty/borderline soft. If I've indicated it's dirty, please don't post new edits without taking care of the dust spots.

                    • My apologies... I should have pointed out that the second pic was a different one, a couple of frames earlier in the sequence.

Do you think the 'borderline soft' issue is with the lens, with my technique or in post processing? I can keep bumping up the sharpness in LR, but it eventually of course it will cross into 'oversharpened' territory.

Mostly the resolution. Even very minor softness will be obvious at 1920pix.

                        • Thank you - good advice.

Can I get an opinion on this A321, specifically because I've used a different processing method where Nikon's proprietary software retains the 'in camera' settings, which I have set quote strong (but cannot be read by LR), and can export the image as a TIFF which enables minor tweaks in LR.

                            Oversharpened, overprocessed.

                              • seems a bit dark
