  • I had this shot rejected for wrong registration and serial number: https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=9521584

Which one should I have inserted? When posting photos of display team I thought the reg of the leader should be inserted (except when the plane is "obstructed" by another one). Should I insert the reg of the closest plane instead?

    • In this case, with a side on line abreast formation you should use the data for the closest aircraft, in this case the no. 2 aircraft.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

        • Hi,

I had a Cirrus SR20 rejected for Bad Info in the Aircraft field:

In my appeal, I asked for clarification and the screener was nice enough to add "subtype written on fuselage". So, I looked at the upload form again and saw "Cirrus SR20 Carbon". But Carbon isn't a subtype -- it's just a name of the special livery. There are also plenty of photos in the database of the Carbon collection listed as normal Cirrus SR20s, as they should be (this is just looking through the first 3 pages):
N14SU. Cirrus SR20. JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

N816CT. Cirrus SR20. JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

Ex. N588PU.. D-EPUC. Cirrus SR20. JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

Whether they say Carbon on them or not, they all are because that's what the livery is called. And if Carbon is a subtype, then Platinum and Rhodium should be too, as they are the other two special livery collections (and all 3 have the collection name on the tail, unless you opt to not have it):

          Carbon:

          Platinum:
Click image for larger version Name:	download1.png Views:	0 Size:	68.7 KB ID:	1127937

          Rhodium:
Click image for larger version Name:	download (1).png Views:	0 Size:	79.0 KB ID:	1127938
In short, I think "Cirrus SR20 Carbon" needs to be removed from the database as it's a livery option, not a subtype, and the 4 photos listed as Carbon (https://www.jetphotos.com/aircraft/C...0SR20%20Carbon) should be changed to the normal Cirrus SR20 type.

          Thanks,
          Cary

            • Hi all!

I just submitted my first picture to Jet photos and it got rejected for "Bad Info - Registration" The aircraft's tail number was N409WB, if someone could tell me what the registration would be and how you would get it, I would be very appreciative.
              Thanks

              • N409WB is shown on the FAA civil register as being a Britten Norman BN2A-26 Islander operated by New EnglandAirlines Inc.

this link will take you to the FAA database where you can search US registered aircraft.

                  • Unsure about aircraft type for the Shark Aero Shark.
A few Sharks are in the database, https://www.jetphotos.com/aircraft/Shark%20Aero%20Shark , so obviously not "new manufacturer".
Still doesn't appear in the drop down menu on the upload page, see screenshot, what should I be looking for?

Edit: Same goes for the Flight Design CTLS aircraft. Must be missing something.

EDIT: Entered an existing reg to find out what I was missing, they both need "Ultralight Aircraft" as manufacturer. Disregard post.
