I'm just curious but is it due to the tail being darker than the rest of the aircraft correct?
If so then maybe it's because the tail is painted darker so that might be the reason?

Because more light is falling on the opposite side of the aircraft than the one visible to you.

Backlighting/bad angle light is not really something you can 'recover'.
